We present a new generation of the highest quality Getinge hybrid vascular prostheses, which combine the best properties of the two most popular materials used for prostheses in their structure.
Our Getinge synthetic ePTFE hybrid grafts are made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene. ePTFE material is unique in that the porous surface makes it much more durable, so the inside of the prosthesis, lined with pores, strengthens the prosthesis. The surface layer of the denser pores is also more prone to tissue growth, leading to improved healing. A heparin coating is applied over this inner layer, using albumin, the main blood protein. The outer layer is a knitted polyester fabric, and the two layers are fused with a patented polycarbonate-urethane.
