Access Needles

Percutaneous puncture is a complex procedure requiring a specialist’s experience and knowledge, during which a guide wire is inserted into the body cavity using an insertion needle. One of the components of successful insertion of a percutaneous puncture procedure is the use of a high-quality, quickly and precisely controlled insertion needle with scalpel sharpness.

Description

Access needles from the medical device manufacturer Cook Medical are ideally suited for primary collection and aspiration biopsy. Cook Medical offers a choice of echogenic needles with EchoTip® technology for better ultrasound visibility, or MReye® technology, which is recommended for use with an MRI scanner. The needles can be one-or two-piece needles or a needle-catheter.

Cook Medical insertion needles, which come in various lengths and sizes with innovative EchoTip® technology, are more transparent and more visible on ultrasound. Microscopic wells on the needle surface provide strong X-ray reflection, making the needle tip clear in X-ray photographs. The sloping tip of the needle allows for smooth needle control during insertion.
